SHIFT YOUR ENERGY AND YOUR STORY TO TRANSFORM YOUR LIFE !
INTO THE WILD PORTUGAL offers an 7 day outdoor survival basic skills holiday in ancient valley of Daugava river of East Latvia.
We are all going somewhere most of our lives. And only a certain part of experiences makes us smile in years to come. What is the secret of those happy adventures and memories?
We have drawn up a schedule with the finest peaks and best scenery in mind - the natural, cultural and historical landscape of this Nature Park located in this amazing Baltic Country.
The axis of the nature Park is the Daugava with its eight picturesque bends. The Daugava's bends are considered the oldest valley formations in Latvia.
Our usual INTOTHEWILD flexibility means we keep all options open each day and tailor the days’ activity to suit the group and the weather!
We will camp in village Vilushi, a beautiful place with unique photogenic views on 2 meanders of the river. The length of each meander is about 4-6km, but the distance between them is 2-3km. From this base, we will be able to reach all of the 8 meanders of nature park ' Daugavas loki' which is included in the Latvian National UNESCO World Heritage list.
In this beautiful base, we will be introduced to fire craft and camp craft skills, outdoor survival basic skills, orientation, and core routines. Campfire cookery and the knowledge of wild foods.
One day in the week is reserved for a fantastic kayaking trip and another day to a visit to Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre - a famous Latvian Painter.
In the evening, we have walk assignments & practices, fishing and storytelling around the fire.
If you are at all interested, please get in touch and we can talk it over.
